Lovely friends and readers of DOLI (thanks
for the great moniker!),Forgive me for adding yet one more to your email in-box which . . .
. . . if you’re anything like me, is overflowing like a pie with too many summer berries. (Is there such a thing as too many berries? Inquiring minds want to know.)
Many of you have let me know that it is difficult to navigate Substack to find episodes if you don’t have time to read each episode when it arrives. I agree, Substack is difficult to navigate, so here are step-by-step instructions which . . .
. . . if you’re anything like me, you will never be able to find again, because, you know, Substack is difficult to navigate.
1. Go to sharilane.substack.com
2. Log in
Usual routine: email address + code sent to your email when you enter your email address, or the option to enter your password or create a new one if you can't remember the old one which . . .
. . . if you’re anything like me is something along the lines of
IHATEPASSWORDSx100!!!
3. On the Home page, the top post (the one with the most engagement) shows up, and below that a horizontal list of the other top posts. On the right, just above the horizontal list, there is a VIEW ALL button.
4. Click on VIEW ALL, and as the name suggests, you'll see a list of all posts, this time in a vertical line.
5. At the top of the list, click Latest, which (contrary to what the title suggests) will give you a list of all episodes and other posts, in the order posted.
There you have it. Your Get Out of Substack Jail Free card. Save it somewhere, in the faint, fond hope that you can retrieve it next time you’ve given yourself permission for a nice long #readabook session!
PS With the world so full of heavy, heartbreaking news, it often feels like fiddling while Rome burns to keep sharing these stories. But it is providing me some much needed respite to share, and I hope the stories give the same to you.
